Food Fun!!!

Nothing is more fun then making an easy dinner that aims to please almost all kids. It was a family favorite of mine growing up. It take less than 20 minutes to make. With 3 kids and Shawn working all the time, I can so do 20 minutes. Wait for it wait for it.... Did you guess Sloppy Joes? If so then A+ for you. This was a meal that I always wanted to have for dinner as a child. Although I have changed it from how I use to have it. I still absolutely love it.
Sloppy Joes

The ingredients you will need:
  1. 1 pound of Turkey meat
  2. 1/4 of a white onion
  3. 1tsp of garlic powder
  4. 1tsp of onion powder
  5. Dash of salt and pepper to taste
  6. 1 can tomato paste
  7. 1 packet of sloppy Joe mix
  8. 1 1/4 water
  9. 1 to 2 packs of hamburger buns (any is fine)
  10. cheese (optional)
Now you can substitute the water and sloppy Joe mix for a small can of tomato sauce and season to taste., but I love the mix flavor more.

You need to brown your meat, once the meat is almost completely cooked add your onions (if you add them before you have a chance you might burn your onions and that is nasty). Now add your tomato paste, water and sloppy Joe packet. Stir all together and let simmer for 10 minutes or until it has thickened up. Stir occasionally as to not burn your meat.

You can toast your buns or leave as is. We like cheese on ours so we put it on top. Then serve. You are all done. Now all you have to do is plate each persons meal, sit down and pray. Enjoy your easy meal.
All happy after dinner.
