Am I the only one?

It seems like there are not enough hours in the day to do all the things you want to and need to do. You wake up get yourself ready and then the kids. Give them breakfast, drop them off at school (if they are in school) and then run errands. By which now it is time to go to work. You do your job then get off and get home around 9:40 pm or later, eat dinner hop in the shower and sit down to relax and realize you didn't get everything accomplished.

Mimi and Riah!!!
Am I the only one that feels like this? I cant be!!! I would not change my life for anything even  though I am sure I have big bags under my eyes, half my makeup smeared off and I'm sure my kids are climbing up the walls, lol. I am just kidding people, calm down already................

Well now that the kids are out of school and its time to prep them for next year. I am so excited to be having two children in elementary now. Riah just got her final grades in and she has made me very proud. She made Honor Roll again. That makes for all year!!! My baby is doing so well in school. I couldn't be any more proud of her.

Mimi is counting down the days now till Kinder. My big baby girl has been so patient when it comes to school. She is already 5, but because of being a December baby she had to wait. She keeps asking "Is school tomorrow?" LOL!!! My big baby girl cant wait.

Logey Bear!!!
Logey Bear is finally walking everywhere. You cant get that boy to sit, but when he is sleeping. It is the cutest thing ever in life. He kind of runs while walking, if you can picture that. It is a beautiful thing. People always say that each baby is different and it is so true. This baby is truly a boy, Wholeheartedly. He lets you know when he is mad. I am working on him right now with his cute but very hard attitude. He has a thing for hitting and throwing things when you tell him "no". So, with that being said we are working with him right now.

My life is so full right now and I am truly blessed. Regardless of the craziness I call "LIFE" it is my life and I am grateful to be in it. I love my beautiful family. It is all mine!!!

I love you for reading and I hope that you enjoyed... Till next time... Peace, Love and Blessings!!!

My day

Today was a pretty laid back day for the most part. Not really much to do. I took the girls out to the pool for a while. It was fun. We had the whole thing to ourselves. I wasn't mad at that. Little man didn't get in, he just watched from the side lines with his daddy. Sariah and Kamille are doing so well in the pool. They took off their life vests to show me that they are able to swim without them. My girls are growing up so fast. I feel like just yesterday they were being born. These are the moments that you have to hold onto, because before you know it they are going to be off to college and out of your house.

After spending time in the pool, we got cleaned up and headed out to do some grocery shopping. We spent about an hour or so getting food for the week and standing in line for what always seems like a life time at food 4 less. I am not sure why they cant hire people that know what they are doing. It so frustrates me. Now for the fun part putting everything away. I have to be honest downsizing so that we can save money to buy our house can make a girl go crazy.

Anyways, after doing so I noticed that I didn't have anymore trash bags. Well wait I did have one and I was holding onto it with my life. Okay just kidding. Seriously though. I really didn't want to leave, but my big girl Sariah said that she would go with me. So out again we went. Heading to our favorite store "Target". Well one of them anyways. On the way Sariah wanted to listen to music. Can anyone guess what we put in and turned all the way up?????

If you guessed Tamar then ding, ding, ding you won a trip to "getcha life"... and honey boo me and Riri got ours. I am almost sure everyone next to us and or driving past thought we were crazy. We didn't care because we were enjoying ourselves and having fun. This is what I live for. Seeing my kids happy and all from the little things in life.

I came home to find that my little man was already for bed, so it was mommy time. I put him to sleep pretty much every night. One thing that I just started doing, is reading him his own books at night because I notice that he actually enjoys it. Trust me I get he is only 4 months (in 6 more mins. as I am writing this) but you should see his eyes glow and get big, his feet start to move and he laughs. I am so in love. After reading him 3 books off my favorites list, I held him close and told him "Mommy loves you". I looked down to see that he had already fell fast asleep. In my arms he was safe and warm.

I got the girls ready for bed, then we cleaned their room. Now book time for them. Tonight it was a "Junie B" Book, which they love. Something about chapter books make them feel like big girls. So cute. Now it is time for me and my honeys guilty pleasure "love and hip hop". Nighty night. Until tomorrow.

Must have in your kids library!!!

If you don't already know books are my favorite thing to buy, now you know. I believe that they keep children grounded. If there is one thing I remember most about my child hood it was my mom reading me books. I make it a point to read 3 books before bed, unless it is chapter night. Then ill read a whole book to them. That's another book topic for later.

Today I want to talk about the 10 books every parent should have in their children's library. Starting with my favorite. Now narrowing these down was very hard. I almost love every book just as much as the other. If I could list all of the books I would, but then we would be here forever. My kids own that many books. So here we go, get your iPhone or pen and paper. Or maybe you already have a few already. Anyways hope you enjoy the quick read, and these books will take you back down memory lane.

AH HA MOMENT

When things don't go your way, what do you do? Do you cry or hide in the corner somewhere? How about putting a smile on your face and pushing through? The last one sounds more realistic to me. As a mom of three things usually never go my way.  I mean come on just getting them ready in the morning seems like it is crazy madness. I have one upset because she wants to stay in the bath for an hour, another mad because the other one got her hair wet, and then a baby crying because he is spoiled out of control (our fault, lol).

When all breaks loose I so want to cry but that only makes things worse, trust me I know. Once in a while a cry is good though. I have cried so much (usually in the shower, were the kids cant hear me) to the point I start laughing. Honestly, because I need to make light of the situation. I am so blessed to have these kids. There are so many that cant have babies and would do anything to have them. So why am I crying? Because my kids didn't clean their room, they got juice on the carpet or because they are throwing a fit? It really doesn't matter, the fact that we all woke up should be good enough. That moment you can say " I should be laughing instead of crying", is a ah ha moment.

Things aren't always going to go the way you wish that they would. I have said this before and I stick firmly to it "there is no hand book given when the kids are born". It is all up to you as the parent to make the decision on what needs to be done. I have been trying to work with the girls on screaming when they don't get their way (yes my girls act up, they are my kids after all). Sariah is doing better but Kamille is the one I am having the most trouble with. No smacking them is not always the answer people, don't be ignorant. When kids get to certain age you have to take things from them and then you have to talk to them. They truly are sponges so whatever you do and say to them will have a great affect on them.

I am learning as I am going. Motherhood is given because God saw that we were fit to train up his children in his image.  Sometimes I wonder if I am doing good. Seconded guessing myself every now and then. This is a job that I would never trade, not even for all the money in the world. This is a gift that no one but God could give me, and I am so grateful. I only can hope that when my kids get older they thank me for raising them the way I have. To be strong independent souls. I want my kids to see me being strong, the bathroom can see me weak (for all I am not raising a bathroom lol).

I have to laugh to keep from crying is a quote to live by.

Kids Fun for all.

Kids are simple, they don't need $100 dollar toys and big shopping sprees. All they want is to have some fun. The girls favorite thing in this whole world, is arts and crafts. Side note: It is mine too, ever since I was little I've loved creating things.

You can pick all these items up and allow your
kids to use their imagination, or use pintrest for
Some crazy cool ideas.
My favorite place to go and buy things from for arts and crafts is the dollar tree. I know you may be thinking "Kayleigh, they don't have much to offer". Yes they do, trust me. My children love to paint, color and decorate any and everything (even walls, LOL). Set a budget for what you want to buy. Arts and crafts can add up very fast. Just because you are shopping at the dollar store doesn't mean much, a dollar adds up eventually.

When you have kids there is a motto that I like: Stay, Play and Walk Away. It is very simple.

  1. Show them a few idea for things they can make.
  2. Make a few with them.
  3. Then allow them to have fun and enjoy themselves and walk away.
I love pintrest for new ideas on projects for children. Type in: Ideas for home activities with kids. You will be in pintrest heaven. I promise!!!

Another thing that my girls like to do is read books. Either it be at home with the trillion that we own,
Barnes and Noble kids section.
or going to Barnes and Noble to read. A side note: All Barnes and Nobles have a day for story time, call your nearest one and find out. It is totally free and the kids will love it. My girls even love the library (just not the being quite part). I am a firm believer that books help our children to become better people. I buy books that tell stories about change, friendship, love etc.. I never buy a book before reading through it. Now a days we parents have to watch everything we let our kids do, because the content is sometimes a little to raw for them, if you know what I mean.

Today we live in a generation of video games, I pads, Kid notebooks. You name an electronic and most kids have at least one or heck all of them. Now I am not against electronics by no means. I am learning how to cut their play time back on them
ABC Mouse is worth every dollar.
though. A good place I recommend for younger children is ABC mouse. Now it isn't free, but if you can afford to get your nails and toes down then you can buy it for your children. It will help teach them how to read, and add. It also gives you free pintable's. Which I loved. You can customize them or print out the premade ones.

The girls made this for when Logan was release from Loma Linda
Hospital after being there for a week because he was so sick.
They had a blast with grandma, and they were so proud of there
craft.
Now depending on the area you live and how old your little ones are, depends on some of the activities. When I lived in Long Beach I loved taking the kids to the park, beaches and museums. We had so much fun. There is a lot of places to go all you need is handy dandy Google and you can find anywhere to take them. Remember they are simple, we parents are complicated.

Early Mornings

I am imaging the house nice and cold with the aroma of coffee brewing all through as I sleep at night. Praying the night will fly by just so I can have that morning cup of my favorite hazelnut coffee. As I awake the first thing I do after giving my morning kisses to my amazing husband and beautiful children is go straight to my kitchen. Pull out my k-cup insert it, and there you have it. The best cup of coffee ever in life. Okay I am a little dramatic.

Who goes throughout the day wanting it to be morning just so they can have coffee? Me I guess. The morning is my favorite time of day. The birds are chirping, the air is crisp and the sunrises over the earth granting us another day here. "Thank you Lord". Seeing the light on my children's face when they awake to a bright and new day is what I live for. Of course they are wide awake at the crack of dawn. Sitting in their beds with the TV on singing to Sophia Grace and Rosie... It is so cute!

I almost wish that I could get up around 4 am just so that I can have my coffee and enjoy the peace and quit while my beautiful family sleeps. Early Mornings are the best. Not a thing to worry about when I am awake and I see my babies breathing and I have my cup of coffee. Another day to be thankful for....
